Great Sadness, Christo Dies at 84
Christopher Lloyd, the master-plantsman, much loved by so many friends and family, died on 27th January 2006 in Hastings, East Sussex.
Some of his friends were with him when he died, following a stroke just over one week earlier.
Many tributes and obituaries have been published following his death, some of which are available online. Details of these will be posted here shortly.
The Great Dixter Management team is appealing to anyone who would like to support Great Dixter and has a passion for what it represents. Please help our fund-raising appeal on behalf of The Great Dixter Charitable Trust by becoming a Friend of Great Dixter. The Trust, which now takes over the management of Great Dixter, is trying to raise £3m to secure the estate for future generations of garden lovers.
